After several months of looking, I found a used Savage for sale. It is a '97 with 6500 mi. Rear tire is worn out & front is dry rotted. Has a ding on the front fender & rip in the sissy bar pad. The foot brake lever is bent back to the point where you can't rest you your foot on the peg. It is at a dealer but belongs to an individual. Dealer does not have a new Savage in stock. Price is $3500 but negotiable. Also, the owner forgot to leave the key so I don't have any idea how it runs. WHAT DO YOU FOLKS THINK? It looks like $2800 + about $400 to get it road worthy to me.
